British Standards OHSAS 18001 and PAS 99.
Many Companies in UK and EUROPE have achieved ISO accrediation and when these
companies grow, they need to develop their Health and Safety Management Systems too. This is
because the Auditing process will highlight any shortfalls; under-developed or weak Health and
Safety can be embarrassing and exposes your weaknesses to the Auditor.
You may or may not be looking for OHSAS 18001 accredited just yet, but as many companies are
beginging to realise ISO Auditors expect to see formalised Risk Management Solutions to support
these other Standards.
